I've read several reviews on Consult Law Group and I want to add my recent experience.
I completely agree that this Firm (as they call it) are not professionals; are not true to their word and are just paper pushers.
I too applied for a loan modification in August and set up 3 installments to pay for the $3000 fee. All 3 installments were met, but I'll tell you, I got the complete run around each time I contacted this Firm to get the status of my loan. It took 4 months for my bank to get all the documents I sent twice to the Firm. After becoming frustrated with not getting anywhere, I started calling my bank directly to get some kind of update. Well, the Firm is shining star compared to my bank. They are horrible, the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. I finally filed a complaint with the BBB due their lack of knowledge and poor customer service. But that's a story for another day!
Bottom line, 2 weeks ago I was denied. So the Firm claims. My bank on the other hand tells me I haven't been denied, as a matter of fact, my file hasn't even been reviewed yet. What????
2 weeks ago I started calling and emailing the Firm to get my refund. I was done with this whole process. My income is back to where it was when I initially started this process, so I'm actually ok at this point. The Firm'site email box is full; the receptions voice mail is full and can't accept any more messages. I then decided to into their employee directory to hopefully get a live person on the phone. Needless to say, not 1 person answered their phone and out of the 19 extensions I tried, only 2 of them could accept a new voice mail. So I left winded voice mails trying to get someone's attention.
As of today, no one has called me back. Trust me, I will call them daily until their sick of hearing from me. In the meantime, I will also file a formal complaint with the BBB.
My family asked if I saw any red flags when I started this process.....none....I did research the Firm and saw good reviews. Of course this thread didn't appear in my search...shame on me!
Anyone considering working with this Firm should think twice!
